Your Kingdom, Your Ways

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

All couples have ups and downs. In the engagement phase, we tend to idealize the person we love. Afterward, in marriage, all the flaws, sick days, tempers, and trifles may take the scene. And we lose sight of why we are together.

Why are we together?

The Lord has made me meet you to build together His Kingdom: in our hearts, in our family and from there, spread it to the whole world. Therefore, our unity is the most valuable treasure to watch over. Love covers a multitude of sins. And the truth is the Lord has erased our sins paying with his life on the cross.

So no matter what you have done, your marriage is the temple of God’s love in which sin is redeemed. Every single day, it is the place in which you fall and lift. And in this way, you keep walking to destiny embraced by a grace that surpasses all our limits and flaws.

The more we stare at Jesus together, the more everything returns to its rightful place. The Lord says: first of all, seek My kingdom and My righteousness (his way of doing and being right, not ours, uh!). When it comes to rest, it will be given in tons. Help each other by starting the day together, with this prayer:

Dear Lord, let our focus be on You and Your ways, and help us seek your Kingdom today
