Find The Oasis

“Jesus answered: Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:13-14)

Living day by day is a challenge.

You have tons of work to deliver. To make it worse, those never-ending discussions with your wife our husband about the same issues. The kids are jumping around while you try to finish pending projects.

There are days in which life seems like a merry-go-round, leading to nowhere. Your energy drains off. You get lost in the midst of obligations and commitments. And worse of all, you do not enjoy life anymore.

These days in which we feel alienated prove how thirsty we are. “Without Him, we can do nothing,” Jesus states it straightforwardly. We need to go to His oasis and drink the water of Life. Without His grace, life becomes unbearable, we end thirsty and finally, with empty hands. We try to overcome this lack of real meaning setting short-term objectives as a motivation to keep moving. But we end disillusioned. In the end, these little jars of water end consumed in our mouths, and everything fades away.

Go to Jesus’ oasis.

Your life will become a river flowing into the ocean, quenching your thirst and all the people around you. He wants us to live, not just survive.

Dear Lord, be my oasis today.
