The Right Story With Crooked Letters

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Every one of us has a story on their backs. Crooked routes through which God has managed to get closer and call us. For me, with atheist parents, the death of a grandmother I barely knew brought, with all her personal belongings,  the Bible to my hands. My little cousins, whom I took care of in the countryside in summer, taught me the prayers. And my messy life somehow received a seed which after some ups and the lowest downs finally delivered me in Jesus’ hands.

For Matthew, judged as a traitor by his jew fellows, Jesus’ invitation took him by surprise. There was no condemn in his eyes… “just follow me!”

While for Saul, his way to Damascus -to persecute Christians- would frustrate forever.  On that route, he would be traversed by a Voice that would never leave him in his entire life. Moreover, some days later he would be preaching about Jesus. The astonished and scared Christians would not believe their eyes.

Our crooked life-letters do not impede the Lord to seek us. No matter how twisted our routes are, they will inevitably lead to the Lord! The Lord of the Patience is so creative that writes the most amazing right stories with crooked letters! What is your story?

Lord of the Patience, straighten my way so that by loving You I can write the story you have thought for me.
